Instructions for Submissions in Categories 1 and 2
Please follow the instructions exactly. We want to treat all submissions equally. That is why they must be made as exactly the same as possible. If there are any problems, the submission will be returned and you will be asked to make corrections.
How to Participate in Category 1: Logo new
In this category, the submission may have two pages: The first page shows the logo, the second examples of the logo in use. More than two pages are not accepted in this category.
Page 1:
The upper part shows the logo. The logo is in the middle of the upper part on a white background. Do not show any logo variants here, but only a single logo.
At the bottom are explanations in English language. 550 signs maximum length, including word spaces. Please indicate in which year the logo was designed. Please put your address and email on the right side of each page:

Page 2:
In this category, one additional page with one or more application examples is added to the logo. This could be a letterhead and a business card, for example. In the case of a logo for a winery, it can also be a wine bottle or wine packaging. Please enclose the example in the same design as page 1, also with your address. The examples must not extend to the edge of the paper. They must be 15 mm or more from the edge of the paper. Two pages in total may be submitted in this category, no more.
Format: Please create a horizontal format page for each logo. (Meant is DIN A4 or letter format or something similar horizontal.)
Digital file: Save your entry as Pdf file. Produce one Pdf file for each logo that you want to enter.

Upload
Please note that we need all your submissions together in one folder and zipped. If you have corrections or additions after the upload, please simply upload them in the Upload Center. We will then adopt the current version. https://award-upload.com/wolda
Awards
Best of Show: It is possible that the jury will decide on a work that they would like to award as “Best of Show”. This can be in one or more categories.
Main awards: The jury will decide about awards in gold, silver and bronze.
Outstanding individual achievement: Award of Excellence.
In addition to the main prizes, there are also the “Awards of Excellence” for outstanding individual achievements. These awards – like the main prizes – are on the list of winners.
Certificates: Those who have won an award will receive a Pdf of this certificate. The Pdfs will be sent out at the end of January. They are free of charge.
Award trophies: In addition you can order award trophies made of plexiglass. They are individually made and produced. The dispatch takes place world-wide. The award trophies cost around 100 Euro per piece plus packaging and shipping.
Student work: Works that have been produced as part of a course of study and that were created at an university of applied sciences or university can participate for half the regular fee.
Schedule
Contest period: You can submit work created between January 1, 2018 and September 12, 2020.
How many submissions: You can enter as many logos and identities as you want.
No drafts: Drafts are not allowed.
Start of submission phase: July 15, 2020
End of submission phase: September 19, 2020. Before midnight arrival at the Upload center. Late submissions are possible until 30 September.
November 30, 2020: Announcement of the winners. The list of winners will be prospectively published on the website www.wolda.org
December 2020: In December, all participants are informed of their results by email.
January 2021: At the end of January the certificates will be sent by email.
Participation fee and deadlines
Category 1 and 2:
End of the submission phase 30 September – fee 90 Euro
Category 3, 4, 5 and 6:
End of the submission phase 30 September – fee 210,00 Euro
Discount: Those who participate with 5 or more submissions will receive a discount of 20 percent.
Invoice and payment
Invoice: When we have received your submission, we will send you an invoice with the bank details and a Paypal link.
Companies within the EU: If your company is in a country of the EU (European Union) we need your VAT ID number. Please add this number to your address, if you have such a number. More informations about this number: here If you don‘t have a VAT ID number, please inform us. It‘s no problem.
Payment: Simply pay with paypal. Banktransfer is possible, specially within the European Union. You will find the bank details on the invoice. The payment has to be done before the deadline of the competition. No cheques are accepted.
