Logo inspiration from around the globe
In this book we present the winners of the 15th WOLDA. As the name suggests, the logo is at the centre of this
competition. The aim is to showcase the best logos and the best use of logos from around the globe. The book is
intended to inspire creativity and thus contribute to new creative ideas.
This book is not about finding and copying an idea. It‘s about immersing yourself in the work of colleagues from
all over the world and understanding what makes a good logo: the idea of visually presenting the spirit of a company.
WOLDA is very well established. Participants from 28 countries underline its international reputation. Special
thanks go to the jury, which is made up of successful logo and brand designers from all over the world. What they
have in common is that they have been recognised for their outstanding work at previous WOLDAs.
In recent years, the competition has been updated to show how excellent logos are used in practice. For each logo
there are examples of practical application. Categories for identities and packaging have also been added. Here,
too, the focus is on exemplary use of logos in practice. A category for animated
logos and sound logos is intended to draw attention to the fact that logos also work in other media than on paper.
